There is a lot coming up for me. I'm moving in just over a week and have a lot yet to pack. The day after unloading the moving van, my brother and I will go skydiving. I fully admit that I'm a bit apprehensive about that. I'll spend the following weeks unpacking and organizing until my siblings and I travel to Florida for a week to visit family. It's after that that the true fun begins.
I'm taking salsa and waltz lessons starting the beginning of August. That will finish around Thanksgiving. I'm taking the lessons both because I find them fun and because it'll give me something to do during a date, providing my date can dance as well.
After the beginning of the year, I'm looking at figure skating lessons for a few months. It was a choice between figure skating, speed skating, and hockey lessons. Since I don't care how fast I go, nor for sports, it was easy to pick the first option. Learning figure skating at the ripe old age of 32 sounds a bit odd, but I'm doing it for the same reasons as before: the fun factor and the dating options.
I'm not sure when I'll be doing it, but I plan to go for basic scuba certification as well. I think I might take swim lessons first, to get the right form and gain some confidence in the water. Also on the list is a bunch or Red Cross training. I'll probably add a class here and there throughout. Toastmasters, a public speaking group, is high up on the list as well. I'd like to add fencing. I'm not sure about martial arts; once I start that, I'll be in it for years.
No matter what I do when, my life will be full of fun activities over the next few years.
